According to one of the locals, the former street lights casted unwanted light into the properties. Light trespass is a common problem and can have serious effects on sleep. The former lights also blended the neighbourhood to see stars in the night sky.
 

The solution was found by creating a concept of shorter street lights, that doesn't blend or reduce the light the street needs for safety and comfort.
